3 Million Lives: Get Involved!

On 5 December 2011 the Department of Health announced the findings of the Whole System Demonstrator (WSD) programme, the world’s largest randomised control trial of telehealth and telecare services. The initial findings of the programme were so successful that the government announced its aim to improve the lives of three million people. Following this announcement the 3 Million Lives campaign was launched with a commitment from Paul Burstow, Minister for Care Services, to work with industry to support the NHS and social care professionals.
This one day conference will inform industry and the wider NHS about the campaign and how to get involved. Delegates will gain an understanding of the campaign benefits to industry, health and social care professionals, and commissioners, but more importantly how the increased uptake of telehealth and telecare can significantly improve quality of life for patients and their carers.
